Technical officials are volunteers who are based throughout the area's swimming clubs. Most officials are parents who have /or have had children in our sport who assist with local club nights and officiating at local meets.

There is a development pathway for our officials from timekeeping at a local club nights, to officiating at the Olympic games. South Eastern Swimming Association can organise training for swim clubs and their members throughout the year for the following technical position -

• Starter

• Check Starter

• Marshall

• Timekeeper

• Chief Timekeeper

• Inspector of Turns

• Judge of Strokes

• Recorder

• Referee
